Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994

INTRODUCTION:

OSHA 1994 is one of the important Acts for organizations. This course aims to provide participants with an overview of this Act and the importance of safety and health at the workplace. This course also aims to provide guidelines and equip you so that you can recognize workplace safety hazards and take appropriate preventive measures. In addition, there will be an explanation on the roles of the safety committees and human resources personnel in safeguarding its employees.

Trainer’s Profile:

Ms. Carol Anthony is an HRD Corp certified trainer cum HR Consultant. She has been a HR practitioner for over 20 years in various industries. She is a Certified NLP Practitioner of Neuro-Semantics Institute (USA), holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship (UK), Bachelor of Bus. in Bus. Admin (RMIT, Australia), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (Australia), Cert in Personnel Management (M’sia) and Train the Trainer Cert from HRDF.
She was a member of SHRM and Panel Member (Employer) of the IR Court of Malaysia. She has undergone extensive training on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977, Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002, SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) and C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) which enabled her to play a key role to place internal controls and conduct risk assessment in the organizations she worked. Her experience in providing counselling, training, and coaching to a diverse group of employees in different organizations fueled her passion in the training field where she is poised to help employees and employers for a successful human capital management.
